First Solar $FSLR has been downgraded from analyst because Biden is likely to repeal solar tariffs. Maxeon stands to benefit from this. $SPWR SunPower and Maxeon are affilated and they sell Maxeon panels. So, tell me SPWR will not soar? Do not waver by this light dip. If you can, buy the dip!

For fun and stress relief? Why do you spend hours here bashing people? Same reason probably. But I'd say bashing stocks is more harmless than bashing people.

Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but over the next 10 years solar could certainly have the same run up that the chip stocks had from 2008-2019. Market caps of ($JKS, $CSIQ, $ENPH, $FSLR, $SEDG, $SPWR, etc) are between $600MM-$5B

Look at Chip stock Market Caps/Share Price from 2008/2009. Their market caps were close to what solar stocks are today in a similar high growth industry.

    MU 2008: ~$2B / 2019: ~$44B - 2100% increase
    AVGO 2009 ~$3B / 2019: ~$110B - 3566.67% Increase

$10K on Broadcom in 2009 would be worth like >$150K today. You can see this kind of exponential increases out of many chip stocks that made it out of that era. So do you think Micron or Broadcom can grow another 10-20xs in the next 10 years like they did in the past in the next 10 years? I seriously doubt it, but I think JKS or FSLR easily could. Anyway, something to consider.. Hang in there on solar stocks.

$FSLR , $SPWR, and Chinese Solar manufacturers dragging down entire sector in a ridiculous market overreaction - BUY and stay LONG.

The Chinese market will contract, leading to oversupply. In the highly liquid global solar panel market, prices will fall and, while BNEF has put out a figure of 34% declines over the course of 2018, other  some analysts are reticent to put numbers on this.
For the U.S. solar market, which has been impacted by import duties under the Section 201 process, this is good news. For U.S. manufacturers – including those who are building or buying factories – it is not.

A flood of cheap solar panels is likely to partially offset the effect of the Section 201 duties. It may also mean the revival of projects with marginal economics and could lead to module supply contracts being renegotiated.

All analyst action lately misleading all. Here is real reason.

I have good amount of Tax loss last year. So in november, I brought bunch of In money calls. And Mid december I sold stock. Workout very well because price of stock raise quite a bit between november to December. In order to protect my gain, I sold bunch of different Calls expiring jan 19th. So I can claim tax loss without issues. Now nearly 10 of those calls got excercise ahead of time.

Next I get call from my broker cover that short immediately. I force to buy it back and give up all my tax loss benefit for those 1000 stock which was biggest of all tax loss benefit.

All these analyst working for those big player who shorted and now can't find volume to cover at lower price. Period.

This is how badly Enitre stock market manipulated. Analyst will upgrade stock that all time high and will downgrade stock that all time low.

$FSLR where I make most profit last year. I started buying $35 range and analyst keep downgrading, last downgrade put price target way below cash this company has on hand. Now this is company was still profitable even when most of other solar player can't make profit. Has history of better cost control and profitability yet they assign price target that below unrestricted cash on hand almost 50% below book value. Now that stock gone from $25 to $70+ since that last downgrade.

Hold on to this for at least 5 years and you'll be very glad you did so. $RUN and $FSLR will lead the solar sector into the future.

First step in going private. With $20/share in cash and book value of almost 60 bucks, trimming expenses to shore up profits, but at the same time driving down stock price, could be a sign they are getting ready to take the company private.

5% pop on no news about a week before earnings. That means they've finalized the numbers and they leaked. And/or they've held the quarterly board meeting and got approval for a strategic decision of some sort (capacity expansion, Gen 6, relocating to Plano like everyone else, or somesuch)

I put $275K in this stock today at $36.35. Time will tell whether I timed it correctly.

Truth is, I've been wanting to buy in since it was $58...so it shows you how little I know. But the funds were tied up elsewhere and I only had them freed up about 2 weeks ago and was just waiting for the right day to strike. Fingers crossed that it doesn't continue falling, but if it does I'm read to hold this long term (1-2 years).

sold 3000 long shares...buying them back lower after Earnings report. Looks like they want to slaughter FSLR this earning. Will be a great opportunity to buy FSLR calls and shares after the earnings meltdown.

i can't wait to see the shorts get absolutely crushed. It will be so great to see FSLR wipe them out with the next quarterly earnings report
I'm really tired of seeing the dark could people that get off on destroying good companies for their own benefit. Their bad Karma will eventually be their demise. Even though we are at 52 week lows down .64 cents at this very moment, I'm predicting a higher close today.

Bought this one at $32, believing in a Long term Solar play, cheap valuation and the fact that FSLR's Balance sheet allows the company to sit out an undoubtedly bumpy ride for the coming year(s) ahead. I will stay put but honestly I am amazed and surprised to see this coming down that much for the last few weeks. It's making me doubt a little but since literally nothing has changed I guess I should sit out the ride as well. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
