This whole Saudi/Russia oil spat is looking more and more like a team effort. Its supposed to start 4/1?? Im thinking they reach a miraculous agreement between Sunday and Tuesday. Their contribution to the worlds economy is nothing short of economic terrorism. imo

When Natural Gas Reached $4.00 in 2014 UNG was $20/share. Why is there a disconnect now? At $3.50 it should be about $17.50 per share.

No one needs natural gas today. With global warming theres no need for heat. Everyone has solar these days. Why buy natural gas? And it smells.

WoW - Look at the projected warm temps for next three weeks. 65 degrees in D.C. next week. No snow for weeks if most of January for Mid-Atlantic, New England and Central U.S. We're talking Major warm trend the likes we've never seen in decades. Natural Gas going the way of the dodo bird as everyone turns off "heat" in January,

This thing is or has approached a short term low (probably for 2017); just looking at the chart, it tells me time to buy.

With all the cold weather ahead I don't see why UNG keeps sliding downhill? The forecast is for below normal temperatures in December. I fully expect NG Storage Draws to be more than last year and the five year average. Why is the market treating this like injection? No report of a mild winter as of yet.

NG is getting to high in price, so here comes coal to help replace high cost NG, even the EIA didnt see it coming, Why coal carloads matter

Like NSC, CSX’s coal plus coke railcar volumes rose substantially, by 18.9%, in the week ended December 17, 2016. Coal accounted for 13.2% of CSX’s total volumes and 17.2% of its total revenue in 3Q16.

According to the EIA’s (U.S. Energy Information Administration) December 6, 2016, forecast, US coal output is expected to fall 15.0% in 2016, which would be the lowest level of coal production since 1978. However, the EIA predicts a 2.0% rise in 2017 coal production.

I live in central Florida. Over the weekend we were waking up to temps in the 30's. But what really counts is inventory, which is declining. Can't help what insane traders do; but fundamentals always win, eventually.

My thinking about this and being from Texas and talking to people in Odessa and Midland. We have an abundance of natural gas. They are all producing all we can use and will produce more than we can use. I suspect natural gas $UNG will be heading back to the $20 /ng $2.'s I doubt that the price will increase unless they just stop producing and make an artificial shortage. It was a mild winter, and its been a nice spring. I don't think nat gas consumption will increase much unless lots of people use the natural gas stoves as the natural gas heaters and it did not even approach these uses near to the level as in 2013-2015. There maybe large dips in the summer as natural gas generates will be fired for maximum output. Clean natural gas and electrify is at all time lows again. The houses being built are more energy efficient. I use a radiant barrier, where the homes remain 30 degrees warmer than outside in the winters and summer 10- 20 degrees cooler. Let's face it, with all those wind farms, solar shield farms, and natural gas we have the energy to spare... We have it all, so those prices are going to not be in flux much all. Export natural gas? Well, while the Obama Administration was sanctioning Russia which that country is smaller than Texas. The built natural gas pipelines and transport to China and Europe with 20 -25 years contracts. Let's face they can provide clean natural gas cheaper that we can export it. Even though they have built the transfer stations in Louisiana they are not going to make but a small dent in our supplies. The USA is energy free or dependence fee on foreign oil, gas, electricity. The oil fear of middle east unrest is a farce. I see natural gas going lower. Maybe we can sell it to North Korea, by credit cards, as they have no money.
